Is there a BEST Anti Virus software out there recognized by most? One program where most people will agree is in fact the best etc etc?

Can you list for me the best Free anti-virus program & the best anti-virus program you must purchase? I seem to have an affinity in buying the best. Although, if the best is FREE that would rock too.

So does anyone know which is considered to be the one three three seven of all Anti-Virus programs?

There is only one I use, which is the only one I have found really works for me. Awesome thing about it, is that it is free, hah. It is called Avast!. I believe there is a Premium version of it, but the Home edition works perfectly fine for me. Only thing you have to do, is I believe about every 6 months or so, you have to re-register it, but, that is nothing compared to how good the program is for free.

So yeah, Google Avast and I'm sure you'll find it pretty easily.

Ya I use Avast too, I highly recommend it.
AVG is another that is quite good and it is also free. I use to use it and it worked very well for me, I just like Avast's active protection a little better.

Well from your name i guess you are from india. And in india Quick Heal rules. It is having a moderate price [ around RS 1500 ] and provides Antivirus + Antispyware + Firewall.

Also its not a resource hog and the virus database gets updated frequently!

You also get a great support as the headquator is in INDIA.

I've used ESET's NOD32 for more than 7 years now and haven't seen a real threat, highly recommended.
Be aware that its only an Antivirus, without firewall and other stuff.. if you want a good firewall in combination with it, light and secure try sygate.
