View Full Version : Two keys are typing two letters at the same time! Huh??

Whenever I have to type an "i" or a "p", I get this: io or IO, plus po and PO.

I've tried the Num Lk key--didn't change a thing. Is this a virus? A keyboard short? I've taken them off and cleaned all keys a few weeks ago with a very slightly moistened Qtip. Did that mess them up?

Help. :confused:

If it started just after you cleaned it up, then quite possibly yes it could have messed up your keyboard.

Do a virus scan. If it is a virus it will only be small, i'm sure anything like Spybot or AVG will pick it up.

Also, is it USB or PS2? If it is a PS2 mouse, make sure you don't plug it in or unplug it whilst the computer is on. That can fry the motherboard, or the keyboard.
