My website isn't set up at the moment, but when it is I would be happy to reciprocally link our two websites. Except as my website will be brand new, my page rank would be pretty much non-existent and I can't guarantee it would catch on.
So I would be willing to link our two websites, but if I were you, I wouldn't.

p.s. T-man, please try not to be so negative, you keep on ranting about the forum, if you don't like it - then leave, rather than bring us all down.

Can I ask what a backlink is?
Is it where two sites link to each other to obtain a higher ranking in a search result?

A back-link (I think) is just simply a link back to a website. The more you have - the higher page rank.
Where two sites link to each other is a reciprocal link. Where two websites have mutual links to each other.

That is exactly correct. So the OP wants CompuTalk to link to his/her site and they will then link back to us.
There are a lot of factors considering whether to link to someone.
@ the OP: If you want to get a result faster, try PM'ing Calum; he's the admin and webmaster of CompuTalk and he'll answer your question.
If you want general advice about back-linking, then ask for websites that are similar to yours to link to you, either with a price or a link to them. Do this to a few websites and you will see your backlink count go up (by Google, Yahoo, etc.)
